Saint Petersburg



St. Petersburg is situated on the Pinellas Peninsula in southernmost Pinellas County. It is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the west and Tampa Bay to the east and Clearwater to the north. St. Petersburg has continuous good weather year after year and is a good enough reason to draw tourists. The climate however, includes summer thunderstorms and frequent afternoon rains. It is a city with the thirs highest relative humidity at 70 percent. It is proud to have sunshine through 361 days. Healthcare, tourism, technology and manufacturing are some of the booming industries of St. Petersburg. It is also home to some of the major baseball teams like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The 345 miles of shoreline around the peninsula include the resort communities of Clearwater Beach, Dunedin, Indian Rocks Beach, Redington/Belleair Beach, Madeira Beach, St. Petersburg, St. Pete Beach, Safety Harbor, Tarpon Springs, and Treasure Island. The Sunshine Skyway bridge spans Tampa Bay and connects St. Petersburg with Manatee County to the south.
